Ahh, for sure. The spectacle. All of the sci-fi horror stuff about modern gladiators, I think will eventually come to pass. How far fetched really is "The Running Man" "Hunger Games" etc. etc.? We prompt people to play for us and wound themselves in the process for entertainment, money, ratings ... Yes, organized sports can be a guilty pleasure, as I wait for the Canadian Hockey team to kick some serious a*s in the Olympics, GUILTY as charged. Well penned.

i still watch it...but this poem is Right ON....and most games in the past were bad, and the commercials were the best part...many say they watch the game just for the commercials.

this poem is like a perfect spiral...
and we can run under it in rhythmic steps
and catch the theme's pass in stride.
