How did we get from here to there?

A poem on drifting apart without knowing how or why

We were close for a whole year

now it feels like you disappeared

i ring, i text, no answer at all

why cant i help but feel so small?

We used to share everything

from food to cup to duet singing

only i you could be yourself with

now it feels like it was just a myth

How did we get from here to there?

How did we get from hugging to stare?

Please confide in me in what has changed

although we already are estranged
