The news is so distracting
All those talking faces
Yelling and detracting
Reciting from their pages

They say that I should fear them
These people I've not met
Telling me they're evil
They haven't proved that yet

I'm never going to let them 
fill me full of dread
Cause I'll be in the woodshed
making movies in my head

A slave to corporations
just to big to fail
buying what they sell us
but only if on sale

They monitor our actions
every subject we discuss
they poke it and they prod it
Then they sell it back to us

I really do not want them
peering in my head
I'll be under my bed
making movies in my head

I walk with my camera
To capture what I see
helps with the illusion
That I am really free

capture images of people
some are good and some are bad
but there is one thing I've noticed
a lot of them are sad

so I put it all behind me
making stories up instead
pretending that I'm dead
