She is Wind

Once again she comes to me 
smelling of summer straw and trees
Caressing me so gently now
as the flowers take a kindly bow

She cools me now at this hot hour
Tries to lull, but I know her power 
for I know that she can fly
and toss the clouds across the sky

I’ve witnessed bitter aftermath
What she can do when in her wrath
She can move an ocean, uproot trees,
bring a mountain to it's knees

But as for now she speaks of ease
softly sighing in the breeze
speaks to me as if a friend
welcomed in at evenings end
