All These Roads

All These Roads

A Poem by Tamme

Where am I?
Traveling these winding roads
They have taken me everywhere,
But lead me nowhere.
Why am I blind?
I can't see what's ahead
As I set out alone.
I wander up the
Mountain of Faith,
Meditate on the Summit of Happiness.
I always tumble down the other side,
Finding my drink in the
Valley of Desperation.
Not enough time in a timeless realm
To sit and enjoy where I am at.
So I trek on..
The road behind me now hidden
Disappearing into the dust I've made...
I know I can never turn around...
I know I am never really lost…
And most of all,
I know nothing is forever.

Forever has come and gone
left here, forgotten and alone
My life force searching
wanting to be made whole

Questioning my existences here
fighting away these childish fears
Holding tightly to fading hope
imagination flight, bright eyed kaleidoscope

Seeing the world through dream
believing in things that can't be seen
But there I am
following my life's plan

Hope you don't mind. The words came pouring out after reading this piece

Yea, though I walk through the valley of desperation. . . I will fear no future. My path is forever changing. Sorry. Just couldn't help myself. This poem has a nice lyric quality. I really enjoyed it.
