My feelings regarding breaking up with my boyfriend whom I adore, but can't support.

"

Where do you go when the parasite has outgrown the host? Fat and full of blood and sweat, what’s the point in staying tethered to a dying cause? I came to you for help, because I could not survive alone. Yet now, it seems, our roles have reversed. I never thought I could stand alone; now your weight bears down on me, rooting me to the spot. I’m paralyzed and with what? Fear of the unknown is a popular choice, but it’s really more than that. It’s survival. I’m afraid I won’t survive without you, but I’ve outgrown you. If I don’t move on I fear we will both die and death entwined with love is not what I had intended for my life. I think it’s time I went on alone, on my own.
