no one cares

Waterless tears fall to the marble step as I pace up and the stairs. Emotions of every sort run through my veins and bring me back to unwanted memories.
   
    I try to cast them out, but they won’t leave my mind, the torture me and kill me.
   
    Confusion washes over me as bright liquid rushes from my leg. I try to move but can’t.
   
    Words unsaid  “Help Her, Help Her!” yells from a distant and nonexistent memory,

                    the future maybe, no - present.
