Lost love

Lost love

A Poem by terry smith

I see you everywhere,
Although ...I know you're not there.
I can smell you,
hear you,
feel you.
Even though you have been long gone,
and the only thing I have left,
is this picture in my mind.
So twisted from reality it would make Salvadore Dali proud.
I almost wish I could take it and crumple it up,
and throw it away...
almost.

-- powerfully poignant and sensitive poetry... the Dali reference is to die for... the closing is stunning... -- i can think of a lot many things that i almost don't want to think of...
