Alone again

Alone again

A Poem by terry smith

Alone again
crushing my soul
alone in the darkness
I searched for you
but came up empty
...once i built a wall
to protect myself
and I withered ,
and almost died
Then piece by piece
I took it down
to live again
to breath
and I know
that the the wall
has to stay down
even
if
it
kills
me.

Lost love, and the fear of losing again, but surely what's in between the finding, and, if unfortunate enough to lose it,can be worth the heartache
