Fall

Fall

A Poem by terry smith

I am like the tree
this time of year
the
leaves
 like
my
friends
all
disappear
leaving me
 stripped
naked
to face
the cold harsh
winter
alone.

I liked the connection between your life and the seasons. When I read the title, I wasn't sure what to expect. Then at the first sentence I thought "oh so it is going to be about a tree falling" but you made it even better and turned it into the leaves that fall and the seasons that change. Hang in there. I enjoy your writing. Great work.
