Tapestry

Tapestry

A Poem by terry smith

My heart
is a tapestry
worn
and
frayed
strands
of
friendships
pulled
away
till
there
is
nothing
left

Friends they come and go
And that's okay
You know?
There will come a time
In your life
Where all you will ever need is
One person by your side

It feels hard right now
I know
But look around
And other people will show
You don't need fake people
Who want to ruin your spirit
So stand up
And speak loud
For all to hear it
Be strong
Be brave
You can do it alone
Be happy
Be focused
When you're on your own
