Apple Pie

Apple Pie

A Poem by terry smith

So...
I made a pie
the other day
and I was a little low
on the normal ingredients
so I just kind'a fudged it
and added something...
by mistake.
got a phone call
while working the crust
and ended up
with the best freak'in pie ever
it was so good
I couldn't help myself
I ate it all
now there is no proof
of the best pie ever
or even
a way
to reproduce it.

Don't you ever dare tell a girl you're hugging her dough! :-))

Yup, so it is, so those sweet kisses I mentioned are the most important ingredient are they not. :-))

and the way you hug the dough:)
Slavishly following a recipe is a bit like paying attention only to form when writing a poem. Both may well turn out 'perfect', but sometimes, as with life, a little off kilter produces far more interesting results.

Just keep on slinging those ingredients in any old way you choose, sweet kisses especially, the magic is bound to happen again.

:) this is actually a poem about love :)
it's like that for me with a lot of things...especially electronics, computers etc. i sometimes find a way there, not doing it the normal way , but getting there...and in the end...i could never do it the same way again...

but really....aren't accidents often the best ever...

like with poetry....my method is just start with an idea and let it get there by itself...formulas seldom work...love is the same way...can't follow directions, just feel our way there.

Thanks, I agree!!! nice to see you Jacob:)
I kind of doubt that this is a poem; it reads as prose. I like the story, though. No comma necessary after "low" and "it", but punctuation is needed after "ever", "myself" and "all". Funny how you peppered the first part with too much punctuation and then left out almost all the punctuation in the second half!

Yeah ...it's actually about losing love!

Now you've ruined it for me! There isn't a real apple pie?
