Tides

Tides

A Poem by terry smith

Endlessly
ebbing
on tides
 that
retreat
tease
when
they come
 forward
not
quite
 touching
 my feet

I love the diversity these words . So many emotions underneath. Awesome, Terry!

A nice image to think about.

liked this, has many facets this write relating to nature, love, friendship and goals all which can be close but out of reach.

Very evocative and mysterious. What is this poem about? Could it be a lady? Or perhaps something less tangible, like the muse? I like the ambiguous nature of this metaphor.
