Halloween yah

Halloween yah

A Poem by terry smith
"

Sung to the tune "HALLALUJAH"

"
In the land of all hallows eve
the children dress in make believe
this is the story
let me tell it to you

It goes like this
it's not a myth
the grown-ups all give out
candy as gifts
and all the children cry out
halloween yeah
trick or treat yeah
smell my feet yeah
trick or treat yeah
now give us some candy

her scars were long
but she needed proof
that she was dead
so from the roof
she hung herself
in the moonlight
to amuse you
you untied her
but were unaware
was all a trick
for you to be scared
and from her lips you heard the
BOO yeah

halloween yeah
trick or treat yeah
smell my feet yeah
now give us some candy

I know that we were here before
there's only stale candy behind that door
and apples for me and you
now let's all go on a desperate march
to fill our bags with candy and such
and stuff our bellies
till they burst in two yeah

halloween yeah
trick or treat yeah
don't be mean yeah
share your candy

Terry this flowed well and it was fitting for the time. Reminded me when I was a kid and how exciting Halloween was.

I love that it was very childish and also very serious and ominous. It really brought out the Halloween spirit. :) Awesome.
