The Lion

The Lion

A Poem by terry smith

I gaze upon you
with a look
that is both fearsome
and endearing
like a lion
waking
from a nap
licking
his mighty
jaws
waiting
for
your
next
move

there is something really sensual about this piece...it mews at first and then roars, and in the end, purrs.
