Diamonds

Diamonds

A Poem by terry smith

Your passionate
words
run though
my veins
like lava
burning through
my flesh
to my core
encrusting
my heart
with diamond
to shield it
from all others
I carefully
remove
a few
with my love
and forge
you a ring
and every time
you look at it
you will see
my heart
and know
what it is
that you
mean to
me.
