A Poem by terry smith

I touched
you
as softly
as I
could
and
your
response
was
to
swallow
me
whole
leaving
only
bones
and
entrails
for
the
buzzards
to
feed
upon
and
as
they
gorged
themselves
I
was
o.k.

at
least
could
make
someone
happy.

B
you have this secret desire
to be with someone that has that much passion about her
that if things didnt go well
she would metaphorically devour you
and then feel happy

and you wouldnt mind it
because you just want her to be happy
