where I'm going

where I'm going

A Poem by terry smith

You
tried
to
hand
me
something

guess..

you
were
done
with
it

my
barely
beating
heart...

and
I
said
keep
it

'cause
where
i'm
going
I
am
not
going
to
need
it.

Ah, we've all been here before. Giving our love to someone we trusted. Just so they can rip out our hearts from our very chest, and hand it over. The jerks. haha love this piece.

You just wish to not feel anymore
you want all that to stop
and you wish to keep your heart out of everything
in hands you know would protect you

so you let her hold it

Sad!
Your heart is a prized possession, don't ever give it to anyone who doesn't know its worth, let alone the one who can keep it safe and forever!
Simple yet beautiful piece!
Well penned Terry!
