Extraordinary

Depression is a powerful thing, and amazingly makes me write interesting poems

Increasing pressure on a bone
Causes it to crack
What of pressure on the brain?
Now a cerebral smack

So what happens to your mind
When it becomes the bone?
And life is the pressure
Then you’re stuck all alone

I can tell you what happens
Your body begins to break
And your mind begins to wither
All emotions become fake

Blood pours from your eyes
And pain shoots through your mind
It is the worst feeling to feel
Insight suddenly blind

And nothing can be done
For pressure’s enigma bears
Not even the slightest hint
And so you choke on air

You claw at your throat
Stabbing at your mind
Trying to find some truth
Some answer left behind

Nothing will ever turn up
You’ll never get a hint
You’re stuck in this rut
Looking back at footprints

Stop trying to fight it
For pain never fades away
Accept this as your life
Until the end of days
