More on the Gender Pay Gap

Recent polls show that Americans are split
Over the wage gap between women and men. 
When it's different pay for different jobs, 
Well, that's a different story then. 

But equal pay for equal work--
That is the problem that we must address. 
If women and men have the same position,
There's no reason she should have to make less. 

Many want to decrease the pay gap
But not through more laws. Yet it's worth noting:
If it hadn't been for past legislation,
Women wouldn't even be voting!
