Senate Republicans deal a blow

To narrowing the unfair gender pay gap

By voicing a harsh, resounding NO.

 

Why do they feel so threatened by women?

These lawmakers seem to be going berserk.

What is the problem with women receiving

Equal pay for equal work?

 

“That would greatly hinder employers

From granting raises” is a common excuse.

(That probably means raises for men!)

To me their reasoning is rather obtuse.

 

Only those beaten down by the system

Could support this narrow-minded stance.

Women should give these stodgy politicians

A piece of their mind. Now is their chance!
