Where are conservatives like Reagan,

Whom many people proclaim

A conservative king? And they all sing

Praises to his name.

 

To three million illegal immigrants

Amnesty was granted. Let's say

It wasn't hard; they got their card--

Thanks to dear Ronnie Rea.

 

The government grew under Reagan.

Taxes increased just four times.

Sadly, we found that what trickled down

Amounted to nickels and dimes.

 

One thing we'll say about Reagan:

What you see, that's what you get.

While others would be more miserly he

Tripled our national debt.

 

Another thing about Reagan:

To many, he was "the man."

The Brady Bill received his goodwill

As did an assault weapons ban.

 

His support of Afghan rebels

To fight against Russian troops

Sounded quite good. Who knew it would

Backfire on America? Oops!

 

Arms to Iranian mullahs?

What was he thinking there?

When all came to light, Reagan sat tight--

Answering with his blank stare.

 

Reagan received expert guidance

From advisers and planets and stars.

When there was doubt, Nancy sought out

The effects--say--of Jupiter and Mars.

 

Where are conservatives like Reagan?

It's hard to find them these days.

To donors, fame, and praise.
