Suddenly a Light

Suddenly a Light

A Poem by Bob B

Trump decided to share

His views on national defense

With the USS Iowa as his venue

To throw in his two cents.

Of course, he rambled on

With his usual blah, blah, blah.

His cheering supporters labeled

Each moment a stunning AHA!

Suddenly the clouds parted,

And a light shone down from above--

Light, which some of Trump's critics

Say he is destitute of.

Could it have been a miracle

To clarify doubt and rumor?

Or did Mother Nature

Have a weird sense of humor?

What about a sign--

A direct blessing from God?

Or was it more likely a light

Exposing Trump as a fraud?

However you want to see it,

One thing is certainly true:

Although the light shone on Trump,

It shone on his protesters, too.
