The Violence Must Stop!

Five policemen were killed in Dallas--

Ruthlessly shot by an angry vet.

We mourn the loss and denounce the killings.

At the same time, let's not forget

 

That other lives were also lost

In situations, which, of course,

Were also senseless and carried out

By cops who shouldn't have been on the force.

 

It's not a matter of taking sides.

Many families and friends are grieving.

Not to acknowledge the multi-faceted

Issues of violence is self-deceiving.

 

All of this killing has to stop!

You'd have to be heartless to get behind it.

Together we must take a stand

Against violence wherever we find it.
