A Poem by Bob B

They call us domestic terrorists--

Those of us standing firm,

Defending our rights and freedoms while they

Want to see us squirm.

Who are they? The Trump regime

And his supporters who feel

That might makes right--that despotism

Has a certain appeal.

Dictators are needed at times,

Trump has even said.

Tell me: how could a president be

Such a dunderhead?

The federal occupation occurring…

What good does it serve?

We have to take to the streets to defend

The liberties we deserve.

ICE agents, invading our cities,

Are shooting us now as well.

When something's rotten, we know that it

Has a horrible smell.

Will the DHS° tell lies

Protecting its agents? Of course.

They will try to justify ICE's

Use of brutal force.

They'll hide evidence after a shooting.

Something else they'll do

Is point to an unfair law that says

That families cannot sue.

It is obvious what they're doing--

The Trump administration:

Ignoring the Bill of Rights to create

A white nationalist nation.

Tell me: how many more of us

Are they going to kill

Before those hateful murderers

Have had their bloody fill?

The DHS is a misnomer;

It really is an error.

It should be called the DHT:

Department of Homeland Terror.
