A Visit to the Dentist

Let's all go to the dentist.

That visit conjures up 
images befitting
to the inquisition;
you have a premonition
of pain, pulsing pain...
and your imagination
spins faster than the drill,
and those images
of dental instruments
flash
through your mind
like lightning bolts.

A compromising position, that visit.
Among sharply pointed steel;
an invasion begins,
and you marry the chair.
Your feet feel
the sound of the drill,
and your hair is electrified.
Then when the drilling is done,
and your face is completely numb,
you grind your wisdom
because your nerves
are twisted--totally wrung.

finally, a poem not about love! though there was something about marrying the chair haha. this made me laugh. very vivid and funny..i actually imagined an older guy scared to his wits by going to the dentist..
