so many time we parted ways
for so long i strived to say
the words to take your pain away
(but) your heart wouldn't let you stay
cause i could never think
of the right things to say

taking back everything i ever thought
lost and distraught
go back
re-reviewing all the facts
stop that
i'v had enough of your acts


lacking sleep i reach for my bed
thoughts branded in my head
memories that keep me fed
fed up with the lies
but still i try and try again
so hard to defend (you)
but i cant pretend
you were nothing in the end
