I tried my best to make you my friend

hoiping it wouid led to more in the end

I gave it my best I gave it my all

But because of me I was my own downfall

We had a cnamce, you said more than once

but I blew that chance by being a dunce

You opened your arms and I stepped right in

But I should have run, which isn't a sin

I got to close and broke my own law

because I am who I am you finally saw

so good bye my friend, my love and my heart

because of me I pushed us apart.
