Lower Quarter Life

Lower Quarter Life

A Poem by tarag
"

This is what life in the lower French Quarter of New Orleans can be like.

"

Lower Quarter Life

Monday’s beans bubbling

While we stoop sit chatting.

Laundry out hanging

Until the thunderstorm coming.

Carriage tourists passing

Summer heat rising.

Church bells chiming

Dinner time coming.

Stoop chat ending

Got dinner to be serving.

Ha! Tarag,
I read the poem, said that's NO if I ever heard it... looked back at the top, and sho nuff! Says you know what you are doing with words when you can say it so plain and pretty at the same time...

Thanks for sharing this insight into the New Orleans lifestyle.....

sounds kinda peaceful and friendly......it's like a mini-movie of life for me....

Cheers!

Ah, the pleasures of an uncomplicated life. I thought I was in the country until the carriage tourists passed. Still, the experience is sublime. Love those beans!
