A Lonely storyA Poem by Ann A MytaFrom the book Tales from the hood
He was a lonely man with lonely eyes; lonely eyes that when looked upon said to others that he was in-deed a lonely man; a lonely man with a lonely desire that was trapped inside of his lonely heart; a lonely heart that gave way to the loneliness that lived in his lonely soul; a lonely soul that harbored a lonely sense of pride; a lonely sense of pride that gave him a lonely outlook in his lonely life; a lonely life he lived all alone in a lonely situation; a lonely situation that left him with lonely expectations; lonely expectations he had of one day meeting and falling in-love with a lonely woman; a lonely woman who was unfortunate enough to be as lonely as he was, but blessed with a lonely smile; a lonely smile that she would wear proudly at the end of her lonely face; a lonely face that could only be found hidden inside of a lonely town; a lonely town where a man with a lonely dream, and a woman with a lonely hope, could get married and live-out their loneliness together with only one lonely ambition between them, and that’s to keep from spending the rest of their lonely years, living out a lonely existence all alone. © 2023 Ann A Myta |
