I woke up with the word prozac on my lips.aaaand i dreamt of london again and thecity was swollen and the lights were red, trafficclutter and cinnabar bus shelter redi thought i heard a train smashing but it was only newspapers soaking upthe nocturnal tempo of some underground night clubsome state of the art sound system, oh so modern oh so let's pretendto be an orchestra, hang cables from plastic pronounces, and they can be thev i o l i n s t rings wrap them around my ankles like cellophane garlands, they'llprotect me from the sequinned miasma of drunken serenadesongs ofsearing disco beams that splinter cans of beer into streamsinto eyes of some video-game fairground structure so i'll strided o w n town and wear the city like a cloak, plait my hair with skyscrapers and paint extracted house plants on mywrists.sterilised vehicles to burn me a path, but before i canfollow, the train has arrived, tick tick ticking andi.wake. up.

Amelie,
First off, let me say I am old, so experimental poetry tends to turn me off. This is a personal thing with me, so it probably doesn't mean much to you. I wanted to let you know, anyway. (It may deflect some of your readers)
Your title hooked me in, so I suffered to read through it. (Again, it's a thing with me)
The content of the poem felt really cool. It made me think of the underground music scene you could find in the 1980's. Techno, neon strobing to the thump, thump, thump. The pace of this piece sped up as I read. I could almost smell the sweat and the spilled beer. (I inserted clouds of Marlboro Red smoke, because it just was there back in the day) The crazy was on the fringes, too. I quite liked this. The formatting of down in downtown was a neat touch (I grudgingly acquiesce this piece of the experiment to you.)
The ending was a gentle surprise and tied it to the title nicely. This was fun to read. Thank you for sharing! Angi~
