What I Don't Want

I really don't know what I want

I don’t want a birthday 

It's always about me 

I don’t want olives on my pizza 

Just cheese 

I don’t want to text and receive no text back 

I don't want to come back from camping 

And have to unpack 

I don't want to be noticed 

But I don't want to disappear 

I just want to be free 

I don’t know what I want 

Are you even listening to me?

Sometimes knowing what you don't want will at least help you narrow it down. If nothing else, you'll fit right in. Most people don't have it any more figured out than you do. When I feel like this, I usually stick some loud music in my ears and stare at the ceiling.

So true, most of us anyway are just fumbling our way through life. Maybe I'll try narrowing some stuff down that should help...maybe what I don't want is not so bad after all. I appreciate you sharing your own way of dealing with these things. Thanks green.

I think you expressed these feelings very well. Sometimes people only see life as black or white, but it's definitely more realistic to be somewhere in between. I like this poem.
