Nostalgia

Nostalgia

A Poem by thebigtrippie
"

The past

"
Don’t look back, keep looking forward;
That’s what I always thought.
I tried to dig up the grave.
Nostalgia, I thought you were my friend.
I wish to unsee the things I forgot,
But the past that I crave
Will only lead to a dead end.
I can’t get so hung up,
Or I will lose the present
And fail to make amends.

Wisdom here. As much as the past beckons us, it is no longer real. Neither is the future. Only the present moment is reality.

There's an episode of South Park, I think it's called "remember berries", this poem reminds of that pretty directly. Well done. You're doing it well when your writing brings things like that to mind.
