funeral

A Poem by thefallenone
"

this will be my first and only entry.

"
you will never know
what could have been
what should have been
what only existed in my dreams
the ones you wove
I imagine

I can hear your laughter still
as I peer over my shoulder
behind me
to you
and I want to rush back to your arms
only
you don't want me to

I can't tell you anymore
I can't feel anymore
and I fear
that this is the last of my ink

you never believed how I love you

it grieves me so to say
this is my farewell performance
that your eyes shall never upon feast
and for this
I shall forever grieve

this is painful and so very sad. Extremely well written with excellent form, but still, full of regret and despair.

To make a reader feel emotions, such as these, with your work, is completely outstanding!

Brava!

Even if the intended didn't see this, I have seen it, and it really produced some strong emotion in me. This is absolutely beautiful, and manages to dance just out of the reach of the standard cliches.

I hope that this isn't the last of your ink.

I like that you didnt use standard images. the lines: "and I fear//that this is the last of my ink" are awesome. It's an interesting image to use but it makes sense and original.
