un-beautiful rainbow

un-beautiful rainbow

A Poem by thefallenone

the colours have all but bled out

and

how I hope they were luscious enough

my eyes.....now

are glued shut
I can't
I can't.......unbuckle my knees

I only see this love
marked
wandering my heart......on lead slippers

lost in our dreams and never reaching the edges

do not say it anymore

for those utterances rest plainly upon the sting of your blade

and I have no more flesh
left
to lick tomorrow's wounds

This is powerful and sad.
"for those utterances rest plainly upon the sting of your blade-and I have no more flesh
left
to lick tomorrow's wounds"- Perfect!!
