I Have Fury

Poem about emotions, anger, pain, etc. I wrote it last year for a school project.

All my pain was held inside
I had nobody by my side
No one to protect me
Or just sit and listen to me

I have been belittled by others
They only listen to each other
And all they do is criticize
So then I started to realize

I am a disappointment
No one cares about my problems
I made mistakes and now I’m broken
I can’t bring change with words I’ve left unspoken

I am hopelessly caught up in a trap
And now all I’m doing is waiting for a gap
But it will never come
And I’ll just be left here alone

All I’m left with is my frustration
I’m caught up in agitation
But if I lose control
There’s no way I could ever stand tall

So I guess I should just be careless
Because I know my trying efforts are worthless
Doing nothing will make sure
That the situation won’t get any worse

But then one day I looked down
And I found that I have power
I can be heard if I shout
And I had it all figured out

My planned failed, but now I’m sober
I can see I’m going through this all over
Butthis time I have a secret weapon
If I take all of this together

I have fury

I really like this :-)
I think the last 2 verses are my favourite.
Although it could be obvious, I am interested now (since you asked me) is this poem a reflection of your own feelings?

Well, not really to a direct extent. I had to write it for a project on an emotion, and it just seemed the easiest.
Though I suppose when I was younger I may have felt like that, considering I easily got angry...

So thanks for asking, because now I don't really get angry much anymore.
