Butterfly

Oh
Sweet butterfly
So fragile
Yet strong.

Graceful
In your movements
As you flutter
From flower
To flower
Seeking nectar.

Is it
Any wonder
Why my community has
Chosen you
As one
Of our symbols.

In
Overcoming
The multiple barriers
Which you face
On your life journey.

For life
Must be lived
In the sunshine
And not
In darkness.
