[Phantom Heart]

You know, the thing with people is that, "Things" are their problem and not always ours. We can be whoever/whatever we want in our life, as it is our choice and free will. (and our right to be happy) Sometimes the hardest part of life is not taking in the way other people feel and making it about us. If that makes sense...It's always hard. I used to take to heart what other people thought or felt and one day i just realized that I need to make my life about me and not about how people think or view me. (I think people that are writers and observers are good at being emotional :) ) think your poem is great and I think it will hit home for many readers.

Thank you, Morgan. Since I have written this poem, I have told my mom that our relationship is over and I don't want anything to do with her. So sick of living my life, to please her.

[Phantom Heart]

I think everything will work out for you. Remember that friends are family too! So are fellow writers! :) I know its hard but I would just keep her in your heart and wish the best and perhaps in time she will come around. Sometimes people need time to understand, my boyfriend has a crazy ex and he barely gets to see his kids. I always tell him that one day your kids will want to come live with you because they will see how crazy their mom is and how mean and rude she is, when we are the exact opposite. In time, my fellow writer, in time. :)
