Why

Do I continue

To hold the torch

For you?


Knowing

How you react

Around me.


Never

Comfortable

Like a deer caught

In an car's headlight.


When

I reach out

Explaining

How my life is

Changing.


Am I

So stupidly naive

To think

I could have

Your love

And understanding.
