What Do You See?

What Do You See?

A Poem by therisa

Do not

Understand

What others see

Within my writing.

Often

A very painful

Release of past hurts

And failed dreams.

Really

Only meant

To be seen

By me.

Just once

Before being buried

Deep within

My notebook.

Carefully

Put aside for now

But not forgotten.

As

Another poem

Struggles to breathe

By offering me

Salvation.

By

Exposing

These hurts

To the daylight

And healing.

After

Countless years

Which they were hidden

In the darkest recesses

Of my mind.

Growing

Ever more toxic

With each passing day

Of my life.

yes I agree sometimes it's about release, healing, letting it go for good.
