Paradigm Shift, Anyone?

Welcome

To modernity

With it's mania

For anything

New.

As

So many traditions

Are carelessly

Tossed aside.

For

The orthodox thinking

Of the modernist.

Who

Have placed

Their virtuous values

Upon an ivory pedestal.

Standing

So lofty

In their school

Of thought.

Where

Anything new

Is always better

Than something

Old.

Never mind

The traditional ways are

In harmony

With the land

Or people's lives.

For

There is

Only one true way

For a person

To think.

When

The almighty

Dollar rules

Supreme.

this is great...you seem to write my thoughts...

i am one who does not think that modern is necessarily better...i like "old"---i like simple days..

i believe if it isn't broke, don't fix it...

sometimes there is just change for the sake of change...do we really need it?

Jacob, I promise to stay out of your thoughts. :) I really don't know, if people will accept the fact that sometimes, old is good and shouldn't be toss to the curbside.

Yep. The dollar reigns supreme is a natural fact. I think we should have kept some of the "old" values, because today the only value I see is . . . dollar signs.
