Gothic GloomA Poem by therisaCould you Please turn down Your lights. Or Please dim them? For They are Hurting my eyes With their brightness. You see I have lived Most of my life With hyper photosensitivity. Forced To seek shelter Behind tinted glasses And hats. From a world Which values brightness Over common sense. As The headaches builds And the tears rolls Do I seek relief. In A world Most would call Too dark And isolated. Yet For me It has become A matter of survival In a hostile environment. So If you do not Lower your lights I will continue To wear these shades Before you. © 2013 therisaReviews
