Beneath Me

Beneath Me

A Poem by therisa
"

My wanting to strike back at my mom, for her reactions, towards my transitioning, but holding back.

"

Sigh.

Am

Fighting this urge

To lower myself

To your level

Of pettiness.

By

Using ignorance

As a weapon

In our war.

Knowing

How to hurt you

As badly as

You have done

To me.

Should

It be decided

I need to walk

Down this path

Of hate.

But wait

Who is the child

And the adult

Here?
