Shattering Glass Myth

Shattering Glass Myth

A Poem by therisa

Often wonder

Why religious groups

Are so fearful

Of people

Like myself.

Beyond

The reality

We do not fit

Traditional definition

Of how they define

Males and females.

But

Why should it matter

What my birth gender

Was.

Given

The female body

Which stands before

Your wandering eyes

That I inhabit.

Can

You tell

The truth

I was born

Into a male body?

Thought not

By the stun look

Upon your face.
