It was never meant

For you

In the first place.

Although

Nice for others

To appreciate

How far

I have travelled.

In

Overcoming

Some very personal

Barriers.

Which

Have isolated me

Within a cocoon

Of self-doubt

And self-hatred.

So

I take your words

With a grain of salt

For what it is

Worth.

Continuing on

With my healing

And my life

As before.
