A Poem by therisa
words that just came to me.
A taint of sadness Edges my soul As I sit here Typing out Random words. What In reality Passes for my heart For today. Maybe It's a week worth Of the Goddess's tears Which soaks all Within shouting distance Of me. Or the sense Of an emerging depression Heighten By the past seven days. Either way I feel Ever so delicate Like a collector's edition Ming vase. Scared To touch it That it may break Under my touch. Better to observe Such priceless artifacts From a safe distance. Knowing It will last Another day.

Either way
I feel
"Ever so delicate
Like a collector's edition
Ming vase."
One's health, temperament, one's whole sense of being is indeed invaluable, and you have ingeniously devised a method to depict how precious and valuable being alive is, far beyond financial terms, your analogy here is very effective, reinforcing how one should take care of one's precious self during times of such fragility. Take special care, my friend.

And thank you, very much for your kind and generous words, in your review of this poem.
