The number of sighs
Which escape me
As I read this.

Numbering

In the hundreds

With no end

In sight.

Feeling

With every beat

Of my heart

It melts.

On a cold winter night

Shivering

In the freezing drizzle

I do work

The midnight hour

Am kept warm
With this
By my side.

As my pen

Waxes poetically

Across the page

Bleeding through

My heart to you.
