Nothing is
Forever cast
In stone.

Even
For a stone
Itself.

Despite

What some people

May tell you

As the "holy truth".

As it sit
Before a carver

Upon a pedestal
Appraising its value
And strengths.

Which
Others have
Laughed at
Before tossing away
As useless.

And yet
Under your tender

And loving hands
An object
Of true beauty
Shines forth.

Just waiting for
The right soul
To discover
Its inner truth

And release it.
