Push
A Chapter by therisa
Sigh.
An internal sigh Held within As darkness claims me For another day.
Wiping away Blood red tears From my eyes.
Holding a small box Containing My fractured heart In cupped hands.
As my body Slumps To the floor With an audible thud.
Seeking release From what Can never be.
Only knowing I can't live Like this Forever.

A pre-op transwoman, writing about my experiences, using free verse. Been told my poems are very emotional and personal, almost like a diary entry in verse.
