My dearest companions

Who are guiding me
Through life’s essential lessons
Which I have lost my way
During my lifetime.

Showing me
It is possible to love
Another being
Without being hurt
By them.

To open up
And to trust others
Without thinking
Of betrayal.

True strength
Comes from
Being vulnerable.
